What about masks???

Kaspara wears an N95 mask during treatments most of the year … Here’s why.

  • It reduces the chance of you receive more than what what you bargained for!

  • Wearing a mask does not really protect Kaspara from catching something, but it drastically reduces the chances of you getting sick from him. A lot of viruses can easily to hop from one person to another before the infected person even shows symptoms. Kaspara has gotten covid 4 times, of which three times he was in contact with patients before and as sympoms arrived.

  • It stops you from smelling his lunch. No one likes feeling a practitioner’s breathing as he works close to head and face.

  • Just like doctors and nurses, he is a primary health care practitioner and got used to wearing masks during the pandemic. It’s a shame to hide such a handsome face, but minimizing chances of harm to his patients is more important than looking good!

  • Doesn’t air go through the gaps in the masks so how can it make a difference? The air can circulate in and out of a mask, but it’s not the air that we are trying to restrict. Viruses are transported inside little droplets of saliva that we all inadvertently spit out as we speak - not just when we cough or sneeze. The fabric of the mask is a physical barrier that stop those micro droplets from landing everywhere.

  • Some of Kaspara’s patients are immunocompromised and coming to Kaspara might be their only regular outting

  • Osteopathy is a very close contact sport. Sometimes Kaspara does techniques inside patients’ mouths. Wouldn’t you expect your dentist to wear a mask?

  • It’s a very easy thing to do and he is so used to it he feels naked without it now!

  • Kaspara was in close contact with patients three times with being contageous with covid and never made a patient sick - an example of why he does it.

  • Wearing an N95 mask reduces by 80% Kaspara’s chance of giving you covid, flu or a cold. For a lot of viruses, they are most likely to hop from one person to another before the infected person shows symptoms. So Kaspara ma

(during summer when there is a lull in the number of flus and bugs around he might opt out for patients who are not immunocompromised).
